Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician
HEMODIALYSIS (HD) is the Routine Renal Replacement therapy for more than 400,000 patients in the United States who have reached end-stage renal disease The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) revised the Conditions for Coverage (CfC) for ESRD facilities effective October 15, 2008. These federal regulations establish conditions for coverage that dialysis facilities must meet to be certified under the Medicare program. The Hemodialysis Technician is one who performs the hemodialysis treatment and provides supportive care to the End Stage Renal Disease patient by using the extracorporeal system to sustain life.
One of the new requirements is for all Hemodialysis Technicians to be certified under an approved state certification program or a national commercially available certification program (CCHT). The purpose of this Hemodialysis Technicians Practice Exams is to help you in preparing for the national Dialysis Technicians certification (CCHT). Practice Exam test questions give you the opportunity to test your knowledge before you take the actual CCHT certification test.
